Terms and Conditions
§ 1 Processing of Order Document
can only begin once:
- all necessary documents have been submitted in full
- we have received the fee
The basic fee for our service—which covers exclusively the administrative preparation of your wedding in Denmark, as well as hotel reservations—can be paid in cash, by certified check, by bank transfer, or by cash deposit directly into our bank account.
Payment is considered complete only when the full amount has been credited to our account.
Only then can appointments be reserved and travel documents be sent.
By submitting or delivering the documents, you automatically agree to the terms and conditions.
The fees you are required to pay in Denmark (Family Law Agency, registry offices, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) are treated by us as pass-through items (third-party funds) and are not part of our service contract.
§ 2. Receipt and Dispatch of Documents
The client will be automatically notified once we have received all required documents and payment. If there is a problem with the documents, you will be notified immediately. At that time, any outstanding questions or misunderstandings will be clarified, and the confirmation of the wedding date as well as the arrival and departure dates will be provided. From that point on, you will also receive a phone number where you can reach the responsible case manager directly.
We assume no liability for late deliveries caused by the delivery service.
Timely submission of your personal documents and the complete filling out of our marriage declaration are absolute prerequisites for the completion of your request.
Should it later come to light that documents and visas—or copies thereof—were forged or falsified, or that crucial information regarding the validity period of visas was withheld, such that the marriage cannot take place on the scheduled date, the agency fee will generally not be refunded. In such cases, we reserve the right to take legal action against the client.
§ 3. Liability for Submitted Original Documents and Copies
We assume no liability for documents lost in the mail. For this reason, you should use only copies.
§ 4. Residence of the Bride and Groom in Denmark
The bride and groom must provide proof that their place of residence in Denmark is within the municipality where the marriage banns are to be published.
§ 5. Rejection
The Danish Family Law Agency may reject an application, stating the reasons. Any fee already paid will not be refunded.
§ 6. Withdrawal / Cancellation of the Order
21 business days before departure; after that, no refund, but rebooking to a new date is possible within 90 days. Cancellation fees amount to €100 if cancellation occurs 21 business days or more before the trip begins provided no travel documents have been sent.
If travel documents were sent early (more than 21 business days in advance) at the couple’s express request, cancellation is no longer possible. Therefore, you should wait for the documents to be sent automatically before your arrival.
Cancellations must be made in writing and may only be made by the bride and groom, unless a valid power of attorney has been granted to a third party.
§ 7. Additional Costs
You are responsible for the civil marriage registration fee as well as travel and hotel expenses. Hotel expenses must be paid directly to the respective hotel, and civil marriage registration fees must be paid to the respective registry office.
§ 8. Border Crossing and Stay
We assume no responsibility for any problems that may arise when crossing borders. Individuals who have entered the Schengen Area (United States of Europe (USE)) as tourists must be able to prove their authorized stay not only to us but also to the civil registry office in Denmark. There will be no refund of fees if the required documents are not brought along, or in cases of missing or invalid visas, or if the authorities deny entry due to illegal stay. Individuals who require a Schengen visa due to their nationality must obtain it on their own.
§ 9. Registration at the Civil Registry Office
Registration at the civil registry office must take place on time as specified in your travel documents. We assume no responsibility if you arrive late or fail to appear.
§ 10. Place of Jurisdiction
The place of jurisdiction is agreed to be Naumburg/Saale.
